Wyvern House is a grade II listed building situated on the busy cross roads of Bookham. The existing shops and commercial offices were to be converted to a 3 bedroom house and a split level 2 bedroom flat and office. The upgraded property was configured to a highly modern specification, which also entailed the installation of new meters, new electrical work and a water main upgrade. We were later involved in SAP calculations and sound proofing.
The whole of the exterior was redecorated including substantial wood burning and preparation. The existing PVC guttering was removed and replaced with a cast iron replica. 1 chimney was re-pointed and the other was taken down and re-built with a sand and lime mix. The whole roof was inspected and tiles replaced as needed. Substantial amounts of rotten timber were found and these were repaired. Blown render sections were found and these were also repaired.
